Corporate Hospitality Ideas

Those of you familiar with the Sleeps12 concept will know that our large group self-catering accommodation is absolutely spot on for holidays and for gatherings of friends and family, but what we’re seeing more and more of these days is bookings for corporate hospitality; people who want to step away from the usual hotel based stays and treat their key clients to a few days away at a luxury holiday home that sleeps between 8 and 30 people.

And why not? It makes perfect sense, after all; you’ve got no one telling you what time to be down for breakfast in the morning and it’s so much easier for your whole group to spend time together chatting and relaxing. We’ve got some seriously impressive properties, with heaps of space and top notch facilities, and because most of the beds are zip and links you don’t need to worry about sleeping arrangements – just tell us if you want them arranged as superkings or twins and we’ll make sure it’s done. Your guests can unwind in the swimming pool or in the hot tub, have a deep cleanse in the sauna, and pot a few balls in the games room, but if they want to just find a quiet spot to sit and read the paper then they can do that too, and the chances are that if they look up there’ll be some gorgeous far reaching country vista from the window. Perfect.

It’s entirely up to you what sort of  accommodation you choose for your corporate stay; we’ve got quite a selection – lovely old farmhouses, big country cottages, luxury timber-clad lodges, English country houses, and some absolutely stunning barn conversions.

We think your guests will be very impressed, we think they’ll appreciate this type of hospitality; it makes a change, it’s more relaxing and you won’t need to worry about a thing because we have it all covered, from tried and tested professional caterers to in-house entertainment. Our large holiday houses all have big dining tables that will comfortably seat you all so call in the pros and they’ll create whatever you like – a lavish banquet, champagne and canapes out on the patio or afternoon tea on the lawn. Of course we can recommend cosy country inns or good restaurants nearby if you want to take your guests out to dine, but the option to stay in is there and you could combine it with something else, like a cocktail masterclass or a casino night. If you take a look at our Extras pages you’ll find several first rate suppliers when it comes to keeping your guests entertained – book up mobile therapists to come round and pamper you all, have a dance class where you can master the art of flamenco, salsa or belly dancing, have a bit of fun, have a laugh. Hell, we’ve even got people who will bring birds of prey to you for a raptor handling experience! Imagine that!

Another thing is that there’s always plenty to see and do near our properties; most of them are in the country so you can take in the healthy fresh air and stroll on waymarked trails through fields and woods, or even get out on bikes or on horseback, a great way to explore, especially in places like the Quantock Hills, Exmoor National Park and the Forest of Dean. Go and visit a cider farm, see how this traditional drink is made, take your guests to a historic house with beautiful gardens, like Dunster Castle, Knightshayes or Forde Abbey House and Gardens. Arrange a trip to Haynes Motor Museum or Fleet Air Arm Museum, go for a stroll on the beach. You might have an adventurous bunch who are keen on adrenalin fuelled activities like paintballing, laser tag, or go-karting, or perhaps some outdoor fun like kayaking, abseiling, rock climbing or stand-up paddle boarding. Look at our Things To Do Pages and you’ll find heaps of ideas, we have golf clubs, mackerel fishing trips, escape rooms, and heaps more - all things that will set your corporate break apart from the crowd.

So if you’re planning a spot of hospitality and you’re looking for something unique, treat your guests to a few days away at one of our luxury large group holiday homes in Devon, Somerset, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire or Hampshire; have a browse, we’re confident that you’ll find something that’s going to be just right. And the price? Oh, remarkably good value – when you work it out per cost per person it’s less than the price of a good hotel! Like we said, you don’t need to worry about a thing, you’ll have a great few days away, forge strong bonds, and who knows, you might even seal that deal whilst you’re there.
