Amici, Coleford, Gloucestershire
Tasty Italian fare in the Forest of Dean. We haven’t been to Amici in Coleford yet but we’re told it’s good so go and see for yourselves. The good news is they do parties big and small so if you’re celebrating a big birthday or a significant anniversary, give them a call, see what they can do.
Good Italian food generally speaks for itself so let’s tell you a few things that are on the menu; it’s what you’d expect – pizzas, pasta, risottos, and fish, with the likes of Risotto Gorgonzola (aged arborio rice with fresh slices of pear, gorgonzola cheese finished with walnuts, mascarpone and parmesan cheese), Tagliattele Pescatore (tagliatelle with king prawns and fresh mussels pan fried with butter, chilli, garlic and tomato sauce), Branzino (two sea bass fillets dusted with semolina flour, pan fried, served with oven vegetables, carrots, peppers, red onions, capers and finished with aged balsamic vinegar, pine nuts and fresh salad), and Anatra Arrosto (roasted duck breast, with sun dried prunes, spring onions, panchetta and cherry tomatoes to formulate that wonderful sauce. Served with pan fried new potatoes and roasted vegetables).
