Take the little ones to Avon Valley Adventure & Wildlife Park near Bristol and they’ll thank you for it because this is where a whole load of fun awaits them. For a start there are over 200 animals to say hello to – they all live very happily within the 90 acre park and include reindeer, meerkats, foxes, alpaca, llama, deer and donkeys, pigs and cows, goats and guinea pigs. Book an Animal Encounter for your little darlings and they can get up really close to their favourite animals – feeding them, going into the pens and taking them for a little walk.
In the Spring and Summer, you can take a trek around Dinosaur Valley, where animatronics roam – a bizarre sight in the English countryside beside the River Avon! But there they go, plodding through the fields – Stegosaurus, T-Rex, Brachiosaurus, Triceratops and Allosaurus.
And if that wasn’t enough excitement for one day, there’s also Adventure Play in the form of sand and water play, a mini jeep Dino Safari, a miniature railway, quad bikes, a climbing wall and enormous air pillows! This place is just so much fun and even when it’s not open in the main season, there are still events like Festive Outdoor Ice Skating, a Christmas Nights Light Trail and a Pumpkin Patch.
