Avoncliff, Wiltshire

This little hamlet lies just 1.5 miles from Bradford on Avon and is where the Kennet & Avon Canal crosses the River Avon and the railway line via the Avoncliff Aqueduct. It’s got it’s own train station which takes you to Bath in 13 minutes, Bristol in 35 minutes and London in about 2.5 hours; what you call country living with modern convenience. You can walk or cycle along the towpath to Bradford on Avon or Bath; what a lot of people do is walk here and have lunch at the Cross Guns pub that overlooks the river.
