Barbara McLellan Trip Boat, Bradford on Avon, Wiltshire
Go down to the wharf in Bradford on Avon and in the season you can hop on this beautifully painted narrowboat for a relaxing trip along the Kennet & Avon Canal. The boat takes 40 passengers seated at tables and if the weather is nice you can sit out on the open bow area; have refreshments on board – there’s even a licensed bar, and there are loos, though these are not access friendly even though the boat can accommodate a limited number of wheelchairs and passengers with mobility issues. Dogs are welcome on regular trips – best to check when booking.
They do special trips with Ploughmans lunches and cream teas on board, day trips to Bath, and Santa Trips which include mulled wine and mince pies for the grown ups, and a visit from Saint Nick himself.
