If you’re looking for rainy day attractions on the Isle of Wight, make sure Butterfly World is on the list, as everything is undercover and as you can well imagine, when you’re inside watching hundreds of butterflies flying freely it’s easy to forget what the weather is doing. Butterfly World provides a natural environment for the species that breed here, and there’s plenty of opportunity to find out about their amazing life cycle first hand. It might all seem a bit odd as it’s actually within a garden centre, but it’s not very often you get the chance to see exotic butterflies close up like this, so you know, don’t miss it. The kids will love it, and we suspect a visit to the Hungry Caterpillar coffee shop will go down well too.
