Churchinford, Somerset
Churchinford is a quiet and attractive village in the Blackdown Hills AONB/National Landscape with a friendly and active community. Like most villages these days it has several modern houses alongside the cottages that have stood here for centuries, but it retains a unique charm and the feels of a slower pace of life. If you’re staying nearby on your large group holiday in Somerset, it’s worth a pootle through the leafy lanes to park up for a stroll around – or as a starting point for a longer walk through the fields and woodlands.
The village has a very good community run shop, stocked with essentials and goodies like meat, eggs, bread, cakes and cider from local suppliers. Swing by and pick up whatever you need, then go to the 16th century York Inn for home cooked pub food – children and dogs are welcome.
