Coleridge Way, Somerset
Named in honour of the romantic poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge, the Coleridge Way is a 51 mile walking trail that starts at Nether Stowey; quite apt as that's where Coleridge lived and worked and where his cottage is now open to the public, owned by the National Trust. Follow the trail through stunning countryside with breathtaking views, taking in peaceful villages and hamlets, dense woodlands, deep wooded valleys, rolling green pastures, and high open heaths and moors. There are plenty of village inns and charming tea shops en route where you can stop to refuel.
