Head down to the Devon Railway Centre near Tiverton and once you’re there you might lose track of time, you’ll be having that much fun. The littluns will love it, especially if they’re big on trains; have a ride on the miniature railway or the Narrow Gauge Railway, the young 'uns are positively encouraged to get involved, so they can clip the tickets and wave the flags to set the train off and even drive their own train.
You should all have a good pootle about and make sure you see absolutely everything, like the Edwardian Model Village & Funfair, Wheal Beckie Tin Mine and Gnome Henge; there are Space Orbiters to ride on, crazy golf to play, a wildlife area, a magic wood and a very impressive model railway. When you’ve finished playing, go and find a table at Buffers Tea Rooms and order a pot of tea and a big fat slice of cake, or take a picnic and take your time over it whlst the kids let off steam in the play area.
