Dilwyn, Hereford, Herefordshire
Dilwyn is one of the quintessential villages on the Black & White Village Trail with several of the charming old half-timbered buildings this part of Herefordshire is famous for. It’s worth parking up, getting out and having a stroll around, to get a feel for this peaceful village and to imagine what it’s like to live here. Have a look around the church, where the tower is over 800 years old, sit for a while on the village green and watch the comings and goings, then go to The Crown Inn where you can try the local ale and tuck into homemade pub food. A good way to take five from the humdrum of modern life, a world away from the push and shove of the city.
