Harry’s Cider Company, Long Sutton, Langport, Somerset
What they do at Harry’s Cider Company is produce craft Somerset cider, and it’s good stuff, it’s won awards, but then that’s not surprising really, they’ve been doing it for over a decade so they know their art. Harry and his son Toby make their cider using 100% juice pressed from apples grown on their family farm on the edge of the Somerset Levels.
This part of the West Country is well known for its cider; mention Somerset to anyone and it’s one of the first things they think of, and well, you know what they say – when in Rome… So go and see what it’s all about; they have a shop at Harry’s Cider Company, open from 10 am-4 pm every Saturday, and they do farm tours that start with an introductory talk followed by a stroll through the orchard, and wind up back at the Cider House to see how the brew is made. Then comes the best bit; try before you buy. What a decision! Best to take them all.
