Hennaways Accommodation
Slip gently into your large group stay when you step inside the wide reception hall at Hennways. Straight ahead is the inner hallway, on the left is the TV room, and then the utility room.
Right of the inner hallway is the living room, all lovely and cosy with inviting sofas and a wood-burner for colder days. Left of the hall is the kitchen, ahead is the south facing orangery that runs the width of the house. The feels throughout the house are soft and welcoming, it’s the perfect backdrop to your large group stay, whether it’s a big family holiday, days away with friends, a special celebration with your favourite people, or a self-catering corporate break.
The light and airy kitchen is well equipped for group stays, with plenty of storage and workspace, and full height doors opening onto the garden. It’s open plan to the orangery/dining room where a long bench seats you all for happy holiday feasts and to one end there’s comfy seating. Light pours in through skylights and full height doors open wide onto the patio.
Bedrooms 1-4 are on the first floor; Bedroom 1 is the master bedroom, a huge room that’s part of a suite with a bathroom and Bedroom 2. This works beautifully for a family as Bedroom 1 has a king size bed and room for 2 extra beds*, and Bedroom 2 has 2 singles and room for 1 extra bed*. Bedrooms 3 and 4 both have king size beds and ensuite facilities, and can accommodate 1 extra bed*.
On the second floor are Bedrooms 5 and 6 and a family bathroom. Bedroom 5 has 3 single beds so is great for children or friends sharing; Bedroom 6 can be a super king or twin room and has room for 1 extra bed*.
Bedrooms 7 and 8 are in the self-contained adjoining annexe; Bedroom 7 has a king size bed and an ensuite shower room, and Bedroom 8 has bunk beds, so this works well for a family who like their own space. The annexe has an open plan living space with a snug, dining area and kitchen, and its own enclosed patio.
The main house has a wrap-around patio leading onto lawns where you can play croquet and enjoy leisurely picnics. Just outside the orangery is the cedar-clad hot tub; sit back and watch cotton wool clouds drift by high above you.
Explore the lush and leafy gardens and you’ll soon find the spa in the azalea garden; relax in the barrel sauna, then take a plunge in the dip tank, or a reviving cold shower. Wander the woodland trail, amble through the meadow to the viewing platform, play tennis, gather round the firepit at nightfall. Hennaways is a little piece of heaven in Devon; time to relax, time to enjoy. Book your stay today!
* The extra beds are good quality floor mattresses and are charged extra per person. Up to 3 extra beds can be used per stay.
