Hyde Park, London
Hyde Park is something of an oasis amidst the streets of the metropolis; a green space where you can go and do whatever you like, within reason of course. It’s one of London’s 8 Royal Parks and covers around 350 acres. Go for a run, walk the dog, find a quiet place for a few minutes of mindfulness, lie on the grass and read a book, have a picnic, or if you’re brave enough, have an open water swim in the Serpentine. There’s loads you can do here – a game of tennis, a spot of boating, horse riding, or go and sit in the lakeside café for a bit of people watching.
There are events held in Hyde Park throughout the year, open air theatre, concerts and the like, or if you go on a Sunday morning you can usually catch someone's opinion in Speakers Corner. There’s a playground for the kids and a rose garden for, well, for those who like roses.
