An elegant country house set in 500 acres of quintessential English parkland, with dining in the Michelin starred Restaurant Hywel Jones or in the relaxed atmosphere of the Brasserie. They have an A La Carte and tasting menus in the restaurant; the former has dishes like Cornish Lobster with green strawberry and melon gazpacho and sesame biscuit, and Fillet of Wiltshire Beef with oxtail, smoked potato, grelot onion and watercress. The Brasserie opens out onto the garden and has some mouthwatering temptations on the menu – Hand Rolled Linguini with wood roast tomato sauce, confit tomato, wild rocket and aged Parmesan, Thai Green Polkerris Mussels with coriander, basil, ginger and green chilli, and Wood Roast Creedy Carver Duck with sweetcorn and chorizo fricassee, crispy wing and sweet potato fondant.
You cannot fail to feel completely relaxed after a visit to the Spa where there’s a range of treatments from Reiki, dry flotation and reflective sunlight therapy to Dosha rituals, hot stone massages, manicures and waxing. Horsey types might want to take advantage of the excellent facilites at Lucknam Park Equestrian Centre within the grounds.
