Ludlow Food Festival, Ludlow, Shropshire

Every September, for three days, Ludlow Food Festival takes place in the fantastic setting of Ludlow Castle. More than 150 local food and drink producers set up stall in the grounds in a massive celebration of all that’s raised, grazed, grown and made here in the Welsh Marches and beyond. Gourmets and foodies flock to the castle to wander among the cheesemakers, the butchers, the bakers, the brewers and barristas – there is absolutely loads here, and there are talks, demonstrations, workshops, trails, activities for kids, and best of all, tastings.

There are vendors selling hot and cold eats, and as you can imagine, there’s plenty of choice. Elasticated waistbands and enormous baskets essential. Buy tickets online.
