The setting is modern with a sophisticated restauranty edge; some tables have plush velvet chairs, in the evening there’s soft lamplight to dine by. The mood is lively, with people sipping cocktails and tucking into their food, catching up, laughing and chatting.
So, the food. The main menu has starters like Crispy calamari, French onion soup and Beetroot and goat’s cheese salad. On the mains, besides Finest quality grass fed steaks and Freshly ground beefburgers there are temptations like Marco’s macaroni cheese, Escalope of pork alla Milanese and Classic fish & chips. Desserts include a 70% Dark chocolate mousse, Mr White’s classic cheesecake and Apple & almond crumble. They have a menu for kids and they do an elegant afternoon tea with dainty sandwiches, sweet treats and scones, washed down with your choice of Teapigs tea or herbal infusions. On Sundays they serve a traditional roast with all the trimmings.
