Possibly what you wouldn’t expect is winter themed activities – skiing, snowboarding and tobogganing. If you’re wondering how that works in the Somerset countryside, well, that’s easy – they have a 165 metre artificial snow slope that’s open all year for skiing and snowboarding lessons. Overlooking the slope there’s an Alpine Lodge Café Bar – the perfect way to wrap up your visit.
You can put your target skills to the test with axe throwing, archery, frisbee golf or air rifle shooting, or if watersports are more appealing, go canoeing, kayaking or paddleboarding on the private watersports venue close by.
If you have a head for heights, there’s abseiling, rock climbing and caving in the Mendip Hills National Landscape, or you can keep both feet on the ground and release your inner Bear Grylls with bushcraft and survival skills.
From November to January you can enjoy a thrilling Twilight Tobogganing experience which gives you exclusive use of 8 toboggans, followed by a woodland walk to a fairylit grotto for toasted marshmallows and hot chocolate. Guaranteed to put a festive glow in your cheeks.
