If your mutt likes a run along the shore take him to Milford-on-Sea when you're on holiday in the New Forest; he’ll love it and the chances are that you’ll enjoy it too. Out of season, it’s one of those charming seaside villages that are increasingly hard to find these days; in the summer it’s another matter as the thing is with anywhere that’s particularly nice is that it gets busy, and testament to this the camping and caravan sites and B&B’s. Don’t let that put you off though, especially if it’s mid-winter; wrap up warm and wander along the sand and shingle beach or on the cliff top path. The views are stunning and the sea air will do you the world of good. Round it off by going back to the village for a pint in the Smugglers Pub or the Wash House.
