Monorail and Veteran Bus, Beaulieu, New Forest, Hampshire
The Monorail at Beaulieu is possibly the best way to see the grounds of the estate - you certainly get a bird’s eye view on the Skytrain, and at one stage it goes right over the roof of the National Motor Museum! It’s only a mile long but it’s the oldest monorail in England and it goes at a slow pace so you can sit back and enjoy the ride provided you have a head for heights.
If you don’t then you’d be better off climbing on board the Veteran Bus for a gentle pootle through the grounds; it’s a replica of a 1912 open top London bus, so catch a ride and imagine what it was like back in the day.
