Everyone knows how beautiful the New Forest is, so you can imagine how much you’ll enjoy a game of golf at the New Forest Golf Club in Lyndhurst. It’s the second oldest golf club in Hampshire, established over 130 years ago and has been voted as one of the top 50 heathland courses in the UK.
The course is easy walking par 69 at just over 5,500 yards; the setting is gorgeous, enclosed by forest on three sides. The greens are immaculate and a warm welcome is extended to visitors both on the course and in the clubhouse.
Don’t be surprised if you see ponies and cattle roaming freely across the course; they’re usually friendly and it all adds to the experience.
