You could easily spend the whole of a family day out at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard because there is so much to do there; equally, it will appeal to those with an interest in naval history. On the same site, there are 11 attractions, including HMS Victory, HMS Warrior 1860, the Jolly Roger and the National Museum of the Royal Navy. Interactive displays and life size models give you an insight into what it was like to work as a Dockyard Apprentice helping in the construction of gigantic battleships in the 20th century, and you can take very informative Harbour Boat Tours.
