The Bell Inn, Curry Mallet, Somerset
If you happen to be walking or driving through the quiet village of Curry Mallet when you’re on your large group holiday in Somerset, stop off at The Bell Inn. From the outside it looks very welcoming, with creepers growing up the walls, and a little garden behind a white painted fence, all very inviting. You’ll find all the traditions a village pub should have - it's family friendly and dog friendly and inside it's very relaxing with a double-sided wood-burner keeping it warm in the colder months.
On the menu are pub favourites like steak, scampi, fish and chips and homemade burgers, Tuesday night is Pizza Night and on Sundays they serve a cracking Sunday roast with a choice of three meats, or you can go for the Triple Roast and have a bit of each. Vegetarians are not forgotten – the Luxury nut roast is delish. If you’re up and about early on a Thursday or Saturday, pop in for brunch and tuck into a Full English, Eggs benedict or just a cuppa and toast. Go on Saturday night and join in the foot tapping, hand clapping and maybe even dancing to the live music.
Eat indoors or if we’re blessed with some sunshine, out in the garden. Reviews are good - a friendly place that offers good value for your money.
