A bucolic country inn at its best, tucked away amidst verdant hills in a quiet corner of South Somerset. You've little choice but to leave your troubles elsewhere when you come to The Cotley Inn because it's so utterly relaxing; the welcome is friendly, the service impeccable and the food, from a menu that changes with the seasons, is delicious. Tuck into scrumptious home cooked fare created using the abundance of local produce this area brings forth; on the main menu are delights such as Venison haunch, truffled mash, butternut squash, parmesan crumb & jus, Pan fried red mullet fillet, bouillabaisse sauce, salt baked ratte potatoes & rouille, Onglet steak, fries, black garlic butter and watercress, and pub classics like fish and chips, beefburger and steak & ale pie with mash and buttered greens. If you go for roast on Sunday your day of rest will be well spent and your tastebuds exceedingly happy.
When it’s cold sit by the fire and enjoy a pint of local ale; when it’s warmer sit outside on the terrace or in the garden and enjoy the birdsong and the backdrop of glorious Somerset countryside. Take your pet pooch as dogs are welcome, if there's a few of you, you'll need to book in advance.
