Go to The Hide coffee & tea house in Tewkesbury and what you'll find is a place where you can quite happily relax and tuck into good tucker, all homemade by the two lovely ladies who own the cafe and know how to make you feel welcome. There's no menu as such because they like to be inspired and create something delicious on a whim sometimes - it might be a particular ingredient that's in season, something from their South African heritage, or a flavour they've remembered from their worldwide travels. Whatever it is they'll produce it using the finest local ingredients and it'll taste amazing; even the coffee is from a small roasterie down the road in Stow-on-the-Wold and tea is from a UK company too.
To give you an idea of what they cook, dishes include things like Slow roasted belly pork with apple mashed potato and spicy oven roasted carrots, Chicken, pistachio and black pepper curry, and Lemon, garlic & herb chicken skewers with paprika pan fried potatoes, Hide slaw and flatbread. And the cakes they do! Well!
