The Hop Pole Inn, Bewdley, Worcestershire
As The Hop Pole Inn is on the very edge of the little Worcestershire town of Bewdley it looks and feels like a country pub, which is nice because sometimes that's just what you want, a good country pub where you can go for lunch or dinner and enjoy good company and delicious food. They have an excellent reputation for the latter at The Hop Pole, but that's because they have a huge good food ethos - excellent ingredients and great cooking are at the heart of what they do and they must have got it right as customers return time after time, bringing different friends and family with them.
Menus change with the seasons so the team can make use of the best produce from local suppliers, and they use it wisely. The Lunch menu has a good choice of sandwiches, a Build Your Own Hop Pole Burger, or for veggies, a Beetroot falafel burger, pie of the day, soup of the day, and fish and chips. If you're hungry enough for a starter too, it doesn't get much more tempting than Whole oven baked Camembert infused with garlic, thyme and sundried tomatoes, served with crusty bread and house chutney. Get in.
