The Ivy, Heddington, Calne, Wiltshire
Locals and visitors drink side by side at the Ivy in Heddington; they roll up in the big car park by car, on bikes and on horseback, others find their way there on foot after a walk in the beautiful Pewsey Vale. They come for the friendly atmosphere, the well kept beer and the food, which is by all accounts, very good indeed. There’s quite a choice – pub classics, pizzas, platters, steaks, and a few more fancy dishes like Mussels in creamy garlic white wine, and Duck breast on a bed of crispy potatoes. When the weather is good you can sit out front and put the world to rights over a pint of the local brew or find a table in the beer garden. They have regular events - pizza nights, curry nights, pie nights, and that, and if you’re there when there’s a quiz or a meat raffle on, join in, get in on the fun. You’re more than welcome.
