The Jolly Sailor on the banks of the River Avon at Saltford near Bristol has been an inn since 1726 and serves the community and visitors well to this day. Ivy clad on the outside, traditional inside, it’s all very relaxed whether you pop in for a taste of the local ale, for a light lunch, or for dinner.
Choose from baguettes, jacket potatoes and sharing plates at lunchtime, or from a menu of pub favourites like Fish & chips, Homemade steak & Guiness pie and Aged Angus burger. There are also dishes with world influences – Truffle wild mushroom risotto, Chicken Tikka Masala and Vegetable Kadahi. Sundays is roast day, with meat from local butchers. When the sun is shining, sit out in the riverside beer garden enjoying the views over the waters to the countryside beyond.
