The Jube, Woolacombe, Devon
The Jube in Woolacombe is described as a family friendly sports pub and bar, so if you’re here in North Devon enjoying a large family holiday, combining a day on the beach with that unmissable big match is no problem; just head for The Jube. In some respects this family run inn is a lot like many village pubs, it’s got the charm of exposed brickwork and thick wooden beams and vintage style furniture, it just gets a bit busier than most due to the popularity of Woolacombe.
Generally, in the daytime The Jube tends to attract a lot of families, and walkers in search of a diversion from the South West Coast Path; in the evening it takes on a different kind of vibe, more of a contemporary pre-club drinks atmosphere, so you get a lot of young people in here making merry on a night out, especially in the summer season.
But yes, anyhow, sports. They’re BIG on that side of things, with Sky Sports and BT Sports so of course they show all the Premier League Football and Rugby League Games. If that’s something you can’t bear to miss you’ll be happy here. The fare is bar food - salads, sharing platters and gourmet burgers. If the weather is nice and you can find an empty table you can enjoy it alfresco in the garden.
