The King John Inn, Tollard Royal, Salisbury
Rustic charm and country elegance seep out of the very fabric of this gorgeous country inn not far from Salisbury; outside there’s a lovely Victorian tiered garden and a pavilion kitchen; inside, Chesterfield sofas, plaid soft furnishings and country themed accessories.
They have a strong field-to-fork ethic, maintaining good relationships with local farms and suppliers so most ingredients are sourced within a few miles; being fairly close to the coast means that fish and seafood is among the freshest and finest. On the spring menu are roast haunch of venison, roast pork belly, twice baked Westcombe cheddar cheese soufflé and braised pigs cheeks; the garden kitchen menu has spatchcock poussin, halloumi & vegetable skewers, and king prawns with garlic and chilli.
Book a table for a celebration dinner, or just go and chill with a drink in the garden.
