On the High Street in Calne, The Lansdowne Strand Hotel has been serving up food and drinks to hungry travellers since it was a coaching inn in the 16th century. Since then it’s had several facelifts and is now bang up to date with modern interiors sitting comfortably alongside period features. Dining is relaxed and casual, either in the 2 AA rosette restaurant, the bar or the lounge. What’s on the menu? In the Lounge it’s sandwiches, burgers and pub classics, or go for something more fancy from the A La Carte menu that’s served Wednesday to Saturday.
