The Milk Churn, Melksham, Wiltshire
The Milk Churn is a modern pub on the edge of Melksham in Wiltshire, built in the style of a traditional farmhouse with an attached barn. It’s not bad what they’ve achieved here, inside it’s all authentic enough and the atmosphere is nice and relaxed, especially in the winter when they’ve got the log fires going. In the summer you can sit out in the sunshine in the garden where there’s a children’s play area.
The chow is classic pub fare, so expect all the favourites, along with a few modern dishes; tuck into the likes of Steak and tanglefoot pie, Honey roast ham with egg and chips, or for the non-carnivores, Crispy aubergine Katsu curry. There’s a sandwich menu if you fancy something lighter, a menu for kids, and if you come on Sunday you can fill your belly with a big Sunday roast.
