The Suffolks, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire
Stroll around the Suffolks just a short walk from Cheltenham town centre and you’ll soon feel all relaxed and happy. The streets are lined with period buildings and interesting one-off shops, and in a way, it all feels like a quieter version of Notting Hill.
It’s where you’ll find a mix of independent retailers, so if you like to veer away from the big name stores, you’ll lie it here. There are beautiful boutiques, specialist interiors shops and some seriously cool places to eat. Grab a donut from Baker & Graze, a Danish pancake from Café Boho; go to Bhoomi Kitchen for authentic Indian food, or The Suffolk Arms for gastro style pub food and a cracking Sunday roast.
Throughout the year The Suffolks plays host to vibrant street markets including the Sunday markets where vendors and makers set up stalls selling vintage, arts and crafts, and street food. That’s when it all gets a little more quirky and bohemian – go see because you never know what you might find.
