A traditional coaching in dating back to 1480, the award-winning Talbot Inn stands on the main street in Mells, one of the loveliest villages in England. Inside it’s gorgeous, with heritage colours on the walls, rafters soaring to the roof, wooden floors, rug and sofas, and all the feels of a cosy country pub. There’s a main bar, restaurant and grill room, and a Sitting Room with a wood-burner that serves as a private dining room for up to 12 people, perfect for special celebrations with the chosen few. The menu changes with the landscape and the seasons, meat and game comes from local farms, fish from the Cornish coast and salad leaves and herbs are picked just steps away in the kitchen garden. On the mains will be the likes of Pan roasted pork tenderloin, Marsh farm 6 week dry aged 10oz sirloin, and Parmesan & truffle polenta.
