The Walled Garden at Mells, Mells, Frome, Somerset
If you’re staying nearby between April and October on your large group holiday in Somerset, you should go to The Walled Garden at Mells because it’s such a lovely place to be. This historic cottage garden is tucked away amongst the ruins of an old rectory right in the heart of the village and besides the community plant nursery, there’s a gorgeously rambling garden where you can sit among the flowers or in the shade of the apple trees and enjoy a cup of tea or a bite to eat from the outdoor café. On cloudier days there’s indoor seating in the greenhouse.
At the time of writing they serve pizzas, salads, cakes and ice creams and are trailing pizza nights at weekends in October.
