The Wyndham Arms, Kingsbury Episcopi, Somerset
A traditional English village pub with a great atmosphere, delicious home cooked food and a good selection of local ales. It's very much a hub of the community and a warm welcome awaits visitors. It's dog friendly, which is a bonus because this place provides the perfect pit stop to refuel when you're out walking along the banks of the River Parrett or through the apple orchards nearby. Out the back is a beer garden where it's good to sit with a drink and contemplate on a warm summer evening.
Locally sourced ingredients are used in the homemade food, which is pub style but with a very creative twist; on the mains for dinner are Burrow Hill Cider braised belly of pork, Lancashire hotpot, and Roast butternut squash. Go and tuck in.
