Introduction

Thorncombe is a timber framed holiday lodge that sleeps 12 in 5 en suite bedrooms; 2 of the bedrooms are on the ground floor and 3 on the first floor. 1 extra guest can be accommodated on a sofa bed on the mezzanine landing. There's a private indoor swimming pool, a games area with a pool table, table football, and children's play equipment.

Pre-Arrival

By train - The nearest train station is at Taunton, approximately 8 miles distant. Taxi are usually available from the station.
By bus - The nearest bus station is at Taunton, approximately 8 miles away. The Route 18 bus runs every 30 minutes. The nearest bus stop to the property is at Severn Ash by the West Bagborough turning.
By car - You'll find detailed directions in your check in information after you've made a booking.
Online shopping can be delivered by Asda, Tesco, Sainsburys, Waitrose and COOK, to arrive after your check-in.

Key Collection, Welcome and Car Parking

The key to the property will be in an external key safe next to the main entrance door. Details of the key safe combination will be given prior to arrival.
All keys are the responsibility of the rental guests and we advise that you always use the key safe during your stay.
All guests will be welcomed by a property manager and will be given a tour.
From the road there is a 50 metre track leading to a private car parking area. The parking area can accommodate 6 cars.
From the car parking area there is a level gravel path 1m wide, leading to a level paved area.
The paths are well lit at night by light sensor lights.

Entrance to Property

The front door is 4ft wide with no step.
The internal areas are very well lit with ceiling downlighters, and table lamps.

Halls, Stairs, Landings, Passageways

All halls, stairs, landings and passageways are well lit by ceiling spotlights.
The stairs are 3ft wide and have 3 child safety gates, one at the bottom and two at the top.
All ground floor hallways have tiled floors; the stairs and the landing areas on the first floor are carpeted.

Sitting Room/Lounge

Access to the open plan lounge, dining and kitchen area is via the main entrance hall
The sitting room/lounge area measures approximately 9.30m x 6m
All areas are evenly lit with spotlights and lamps
The floor surface is tiled and level throughout.
The layout is open plan room with a mixture of chairs and sofas
Furniture can be moved but must be returned to its original position on your departure
There is a television with remote control and option for subtitles/audio description.
The area is well lit during the day by natural light. At night there are ample spotlights and overhead lighting, along with a floor standing light.

The games area measures 2.7m 3.6m

Kitchen

The kitchen area is acccessed from the lounge/dining area on the ground floor
The size of the kitchen area is 6m x 3.m
The floor is the same level from the Lounge/Dining area
The flooring is tiled throughout

Bedrooms and Sleeping Areas

All bedrooms have zip and link beds that you can have arranged as superkings or twins

Bedroom 1 is on the ground floor and measures 5.4m x 3m. It has an en suite shower room

Bedroom 2 is on the ground floor and measures 4.2m x 2.8m. It has an en suite bathroom which can also be accessed from the hallway

Bedroom 3 is on the first floor and makes a great family room as it sleeps 4. The room measures 3.6m x 6m and has an en suite bathroom with a hand held shower

Bedroom 4 is on the first floor and measures 4m x 3.5m. It has an en suite bathroom with a hand held shower

Bedroom 5 is on the first floor and measures 3.6m x 4.85m. It has an en suite bathroom with a hand held shower

There is an 'optional extra' sofa bed available on the mezzanine. This sleeps 1.

Garden

There is a paved patio area which can be accessed from Bedroom 1 and from the lounge/dining area
There are no steps in the garden
The side garden measures 19m x 5m
The front garden measures 13m x 18m
The rear garden measures 19m x 5m
There is a lawn area and children's play equipment.
There is a weatherproof outdoor table tennis table.
There is a table and patio chairs for 12 guests.

Swimming Pool (NB: Children must be supervised at all times)

Access to the pool is through a set of double doors.
Access surrounding the pool is a minimum width of 1.2m widening to 1.9m.
The pool measures 8m x 4.5m and is a constant depth of 1.2m
