Tipton St John, Nr Ottery St Mary, Devon
Tipton St John is a quiet village in the Otter Valley, roughly 2.5 miles from Ottery St Mary and only 3 from Sidmouth on the Jurassic Coast. You can walk here along the river from Ottery, which is a lovely way to spend a few hours, especially if you tie it in with lunch in The Golden Lion. Have a stroll around looking at the old houses, and take a peek inside the church whilst you’re here.
