Warmley Waiting Room, Warmley, Bristol, Somerset

Warmley Waiting Room has a lovely setting midway between Bath and Bristol. As the names suggests, it was indeed the original waiting room at Warmley Station, back in the days when the Midland Railway ran through this way. It’s a popular spot, being right on the Bristol and Bath Railway Path and draws the cyclists, runners and walkers who are out taking the air, as well as regular visitors who come here just because it’s such a pleasant place to be. It’s especially nice to sit out on the platform or in the garden when the sun has come out to play.

The cafe is family run and serves breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea, using locally produced ingredients as much as possible. Stop by for an egg & bacon roll in the morning, or for a sandwich, baguette or jacket potato at lunchtime. There are homemade cakes and in the summer, ice creams from a dairy just a few miles away.
