Warren Bay, Watchet, Somerset
This is a great one for dog walking as there are no restrictions. The beach lies just west of Watchet; it’s not a notably pretty place but there’s something about it that appeals – in the winter it’s wild and windswept, in the summer, calm and peaceful, and there are some interesting delights to be found amongst the pebbles and rocks. You need to be aware that it’s backed by unstable cliffs and that signs warm of fast currents; stick to the shore and you’ll be fine – it’s a chance to connect with nature, and the dog will be in his element.
