We The Curious, Bristol, Somerset
Are you the curious sort? Are you always asking questions that no-one seems to have the answers to – What if? How? Why? You need to get yourselves to We The Curious on the harbourside at Bristol then. You’ll be surprised, you’ll be astounded, you’ll be amazed, and you might just find the answers to some of those burning questions.
This science centre and educational charity is home to the UK’s only 3D planetarium and over its two floors, has over 200 things to do! Start in The Main Gallery, the stage for the What If Project where you can explore some of life’s biggest mysteries, like the science of happiness and the nature of time. Meet real life scientists in the Open City Lab, join in discussions in the John James Theatre of Curiosity; it gets you thinking, this place, it gets you looking at things in a whole new light.
The North Gallery has a fascinating Food Zone and Flight Gallery, up in The First Floor Gallery there are animation exhibitions, a construction area, and a Tinkering Space and Curiosity Zone with giant puzzles and challenges; find out all about us humans, explore the world of light and vibration.
Everything at We The Curious is interactive, hands on and fun. There is so much waiting to be explored – and it’s not just for nerds either, this is for everyone, young and old. That’s’ why it’s such a brilliant thing to do on your large group holiday in Somerset.
On site there’s a sustainable café and a shop packed full of things inspired by the exhibitions, so allow yourselves plenty of time. You’d be wise to book online to avoid disappointment, and if there’s 10 or more of you, discounts are available on the entry ticket.
