lntroduction
Willowhayes is a large, converted willow storage barn dating from 1700. It offers spacious and luxurious holiday accommodation for up to 14 people in 6 bedrooms, and there's an indoor pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room, a games room and play area for children.
Pre-Arrival
Bus: The nearest bus stop is in either North Curry or Stoke St Gregory both 1.5 miles away.
Train: The nearest train station is at Taunton, approximately 7 miles away. Taxis are usually available at the station.
Road: You will find detailed directions in your check in information which can be viewed after you've made a booking.
Groceries can be delivered by Waitrose, Tesco, Asda, Sainsburys or COOK by ordering online.
Arrival & Car Parking Facilities
There is good vehicular access at the front of the property.
There is parking for 4 cars at the front of the property, accessed through a 4m opening.
The parking area leads through a 1.2m wooden gate to a shingled path leading to the front door
There is a small lane at the side of the barn with access via a gate in the wall to a flat, shingled area giving direct access to the back door.
Main Entrance & Reception
The entrance at the front has one small (5cm) step over the threshold, and is 85cm wide.
lnside the front door is a corridor with access to the WC.
There is an 88cm opening leading to a further 1.2m wide opening into the lounge and dining areas.
These areas and the kitchen have level slate flooring.
The lounge has a flat screen TV, 3 large sofas to seat 12 people, soft wall lighting, and side tables.
Kitchen/Dining Room
The spacious dining area has a large wooden table with seating for 12.
A wide opening leads to the kitchen where the work top is 90cm high.
There is a range cooker.
The back door is a stable door leading into the kitchen and is 80cm wide with a 10cm step over the threshold, and a weather board.
Games Room and Swimming Pool
There is a step of 30cm from the front patio area to access this room, through 120cm wide French doors.
The games room has a solid slate floor.
The games room has a pool table and table football, as well as a sofa and a wooden storage bench.
There is also a large flat screen television with full SkyQ package (movies and sport), plus a games console plug in point.
The swimming pool/hot tub can be accessed either via the games room through a single glazed 80cm wide door, or via French doors 120cm and up a 20cm step directly into the swimming pool room.
The swimming pool is 7 metres by 4 metres and a constant depth of 1 metre.
There is access into the pool via 5 steps at one end of the pool. These steps are 1m wide and 20cm high, with three of them being submerged.
There is slate floor surrounding the pool and a raised deck area (15cm) with two sun loungers.
Sauna
There is a single door 100cm wide to access the barrel sauna area. The sauna has a step 4cm out of the door and 3 stone steps 17cm high by 72cm wide up to the sauna.
The sauna is accessed through a single glass door 60cm wide, the height to step over the door ledge is 30cm from the outside and 17cm from the inside.
Laundry
There is a full size washing machine in the kitchen.
Bedrooms:
General
Non-feather good quality pillows and duvets are provided.
There are TVs with remote controls in all bedrooms.
Hair dryers are provided.
Ground Floor
The 2 downstairs bedrooms are accessed via an 80cm door into a corridor with an even slate floor.
Bedroom 6
This room has a door width of 75cm; there are zip and link beds (superking or twin) and also a single day bed (extra charge)
A single step 25cm long divides the room.
The room is fully carpeted.
Bed heights are 60cms from the floor.
Bedroom 5
This room is accessed from the corridor up 2 steps 15cm x 30cm, with a grab rail into a rear hallway with 1.5 x 1.5m of free space. The door into the bedroom is 80cm wide.
Beds are zip and link (superking or twin) and the flooring is carpet.
There is a shared bathroom, with a door width of 65cm, a quarry tiled floor, large walk in shower, sink, and a toilet with a seat height of 40cm.
First Floor
This floor is reached via a staircase which leads off right and left. The stairs have 10 steps which are 16cm high, 30cm deep and 1.1 m wide.
You then reach a landing 2m x 1m, where 4 stairs lead to the bedrooms on the left, and 4 stairs lead to the bedrooms on the right.
There are handrails either side of the stairs.
Bedroom 1
The door width is 80cm; this en suite room has a 5ft wooden bed and oak flooring. There is an en suite shower room.
Bedroom 2
This room is acessed via a door 78cm wide. There are zip and link beds (superking or twin) and an en suite shower room.
Bedroom 3
This room is accessed via a door 75cm wide. There are zip and link beds (superking or twin) and access to a family bathroom with an 80cm wide door.
Bedroom 4
This room is accessed via a door 80cm wide. There are zip and link beds (superking or twin) and also a single day bed (extra charge).
First Floor Family Bathroom
The door width from the corridor is 80cm
The door width from Bedroom 3 is 80cm
There is a full length bath with mixer taps and a flexible shower hose
The toilet seat is 40cm high
There is free space of 3m x 1m
The flooring is vinyl
En Suite for Bedroom 1
Accessed via a 80cm door.
The shower room is of a generous size, with plenty of free space (2 x 2 metres)
There is 60cm of free space to the right of the toilet and a little to the left. The toilet is 45cm high
There is vinyl flooring
The shower cubicle is 1m square with a bifold door, giving a 1m access
En Suite for Bedroom 2
Accessed via a 70cm wide door
The shower cubicle is 80cm x 80cm with a 78cm sliding door and a 10cm step over the threshold.
The toilet seat is 40cm high.
The flooring is vinyl.
Grounds and Gardens
There are two garden areas:
Front Garden
The main front garden is accessed via the parking area, front patio, or path. The parking area is gravelled and the front garden path is paved and gravelled.
There is a lawned area with flower beds, accessed via steps
The hot tub is accessed from the lawn via two wooden steps.
There is an outdoor table and chairs to seat 14. A gas BBQ is situated close to the kitchen door.
The second garden is accessed through the ground floor back hall area.
There are 3 steps to the play area (two swings/interchangeable baby swing and a slide) and garden seating area.
