Zest, South Molton, Devon
The mood is upbeat, the inspiration is modern Mediterranean at Zest; maybe not the sort of thing you'd expect in a quiet North Devon town like South Molton, but there we are, here it is and it seems to be well received by the locals and visitors. Reviews say the food is good, the service is friendly and attentive and the wine gets a mention so it's got to be worth a try.
The menu has a lot on it so there should be something to tempt even the fussiest eaters; by day there are cooked breakfasts, pizzas, sandwiches, paninis and omelettes, as well as cakes and coffee. In the evenings there are lots of tapas dishes - homemade crab croquettes, spicy chicken wings, garlic mushrooms, etc., and there are sharing platters and pizzas, and a good selection of mains like Greek salad, Seafood stew, and Aubergine guvec.
