Beechenhurst, Coleford, Gloucestershire

Beechenhurst is a forest park in the heart of the Forest of Dean, not far from Coleford. It's the starting point for several walks, including the amazing Sculpture Trail and the Family Cycle Trail (also known as The Colliers Trail). There’s a café that serves food everyday from 8.30am so go for breakfast before you head off into the forest for the day, or go there after a day's exploring and have a well earned bite to eat.

The younger folk will love the play area which has a zip wire, swings and a tunnel, and a mini picnic area. This is also where you’ll find Go Ape Tree Top Adventure, with wobbly bridges and challenging crossings, and a very exciting 40ft climbing wall with 36 different routes. As if that’s not enough to keep you occupied, you can also arrange archery sessions. A great way for the kids to let off steam and for the family to have fun together.
