Bromham, Chippenham, Wiltshire
Bromham isn’t far from Devizes and Chippenham; not a lot goes on here as, like most villages, everything ticks along nicely with the residents living contentedly and visitors liking what they see. The reson most people come here is because there are two good pubs in Bromham – The Greyhound and The Westbrook, so if you decide to go to either of them for lunch or a drink in the beer garden on a nice dry day, allow a bit of time for a wander round.
There are some very attractive houses, mostly of the red brick cottagey sort you see a lot of in this part of the world; others are of historical importance, and you should stick your head in the church if that’s the kind of thing you like doing. If you’ve got your walking boots with you lace up and explore the surrounding countryside; you’ll feel like you’ve really earned that pint then.
