The Valley of Rocks, Lynton, Devon
This natural feature in the Exmoor landscape is so spectacular it’s been the backdrop for many a film and TV scene; if you visit, you’ll see why. Park in Lynton and take the North Walk coastal path for half a mile or so to the Valley of Rocks; you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking sea views from this dry valley, and you might even see the herd of wild goats that feed there. Head back down to Lynton for homemade scones in one of the pretty tea shops.
Interesting note: The Valley of Rocks was formed when a former extension of the East Lyn River was dissected by natural recession of the cliffs.
