Withypool Hill, Withypool, Exmoor, Somerset
Walk up to Withypool Hill from Withypool and you’ll agree, once you reach the summit, that the climb was well worth it, because the views are absolutely staggering. Can you imagine – rolling on and on for miles across the beautiful Exmoor countryside? There’s a Neolithic bowl barrow up there and a short stroll away you can find one of only two complete stone circles in the whole of the national park – it might be missing most of its stones but there’s still a circle of them there, among the grass and the heather. Head back down to the village for a slice of cake at Withypool Tea Rooms or for lunch at The Royal Oak.
