The House

Before you go in, have a good look at Brook Barton from the outside – how clever this is, from milking parlour and grain silos to luxury large group holiday house, sitting perfectly in the landscape.

Go in through the door at the side of the house, to a sleek and well-equipped kitchen/dining room. To the right a door opens to the terrace and hot tub, to the left is a huge living room, light and airy with plenty of room to sit comfy and full height doors opening onto the terrace.

Off the living room are Bedrooms 1 and 2 and between them, a shared shower room. Upstairs are Bedrooms 3-5 and a bathroom; all beds at Brook Barton are zip and link (super king or twin), Bedrooms 1 and 5 both sleep 3 so are great for families or friends sharing.

From the living room a door leads into the first tower where on the ground floor there’s a second kitchen/living room, and in the second tower, a shower room and Bedroom 6, with a wonderful high vaulted ceiling. Upstairs above the kitchen/living room is Bedroom 7 with an ensuite shower room. These are cool and quirky spaces, round rooms with full height windows giving glorious views over the fields. The towers can be as much a part of the main house as you like, or they work really well for people who like to have their own space or turn in a little earlier than the crowd.

Outside, a paved terrace wraps around the house, with a large lawn to one side; at the back there’s outdoor ping-pong and the hot tub, nice and private, somewhere to watch the clouds drift by and soak up the peace and quiet.
