Not far from the Somerset county town of Taunton, Swallows Meadow is a traditional longhouse sleeping 12, with room for 2 extra beds (extra charge - see Extras). This lovely large group holiday house is tucked away down the lanes, surrounded by beautiful countryside, packed to the rafters (or the old elm beams to be more precise) with country character. Outside wisteria scrambles lushly up the walls, a fig tree grows by the kitchen window, and cottage garden flowers tumble merrily together. A leafy pergola leads to a large patio and the main garden where there’s a spa lodge with a 5m swim spa, a hot tub, year round BBQ lodge and play area.
What a wonderful place to stay for holidays or peaceful celebrations with friends and family, or for elegant hen weekends. Nearby there are plenty of good places to eat, family attractions and activities, and the beaches of the Jurassic Coast are under an hour away. Getting here is easy; trains from London Paddington to Taunton take just over 2 hours, the M5 motorway (J25) and A303 are within easy reach, and the A358 is only a couple of miles away. As for leaving - well, that’s the difficult part…
