BBQ: 2 charcoal fired BBQs in the main garden, for use from Easter to the end of October, with an initial pack of charcoal provided.
Bed Linen and Towels: Duvets and pillows (synthetic and hypoallergenic), bed linen, cot mattress sheets, and towels are provided. Please bring your own towels and appropriate footwear for use with the hot tub and outdoor baths.
CCTV/Noise Monitors: There is a noise monitor in the living/entertaining space and in each of the barns. Please see Noise Monitors At Your Large Group Holiday House for more information.
Check In Details: This information can be accessed within your booking 4 weeks before your stay. Check in time - 4pm. Check out time - 10am.
Coffee Machine: Each barn has a 1 x 8 cup cafetiere and a Nescafe Dolce Gusto coffee machine with a few pods supplied. The main kitchen has a Kitchen Aid Classic drip coffeemaker with a 1.7L capacity (approx. 12 cups), with an initial supply of filter coffee provided.

Bean Goose Barn – 1 full size cot (1200mm L x 600mm W) for infants aged 2 years and under).
Curlews Halt – 1 travel cot (1060mm L x 705mm W) for infants aged 1 year and under).
Snipes Rest – 1 travel cot (1060mm L x 705mm W) for infants aged 1 year and under).
Decorations: Please be respectful if you wish to decorate the property for a special occasion. Guests must not bring balloons with glitter into the property or garden and must not stick anything to walls, fixtures or furnishings.

Dogs: 2 dogs welcome, though strictly 1 dog per barn only. There is a small charge per pet. Please ensure you have read our Dog Rules before planning to bring your pet.
Electric Vehicle Charging: There are no EV charging points at this property. Due to insurance restrictions guests will not be able to use cables or extension leads from the domestic power supply to charge vehicles (see Electric Vehicle Charging and Holiday Accommodation). Please use this ZapMap to find the nearest charging points.
Essentials: Each barn has enough crockery, cutlery and glasses for light refreshments. The main kitchen has enough crockery and cutlery for a dinner party for 16 guests, glasses (wine, champagne, gin/cocktail, pint, tumblers, hi-balls) and a white linen tablecloth.
Initial supplies* of the following in all barns and the main kitchen: at least 2 toilet rolls per toilet, salt and pepper, tea, coffee, sugar, washing-up liquid, dishwasher tablets, tea towels, a dish cloth and scourer sponge, oven gloves, kitchen roll, tin foil, cling film, bin bags, 2 ply white napkins.
Handwash/hand lotion at all sinks, Welcome bottles of shower gel, shampoo and conditioner in all bathrooms, Welcome bottles of bubble bath provided.
Hairdryers in all bedrooms.

Features: Wood fired hot tub, 2 outdoor baths, air hockey, table tennis, trampoline.
Food Deliveries: Waitrose, Sainsburys, Tesco, Asda and COOK will deliver to this property. Please arrange deliveries for after your 4pm arrival. We recommend that you put your name and mobile number on the delivery information.
Garden: The main garden has a patio, outdoor furniture, charcoal BBQ and wood fired hot tub. A pathway leads to the living/entertaining room. Opposite Curlews Halt and Snipes Rest there is a lawned garden with a trampoline.
Guests: Whimbrels Barton sleeps 16 guests in 8 bedrooms over 3 adjoining barns. Bean Goose Barn sleeps 8 in 4 bedrooms, Curlews Halt and Snipes Rest both sleep 4 in 2 bedrooms. You can all dine and relax together in the enormous living/entertaining room where there's a fully equipped kitchen, soft seating area and a dining table that can be used for table tennis during the day. Please refer to the FLOOR PLANS for clarity.
NB: Due to planning restrictions this property is only available to family groups.
Highchairs: 1 provided (an additional highchair may be available upon request).
Hot Tubs/Outdoor Baths: In the main garden there's a large circular wood fired hot tub with a diameter of 2.05m - this can seat 5/6 people); enough wood is provided for lighting this once a day during your stay, with more available to purchase from the owners. The hot tub can be prepared, ready for you to use on your arrival at an extra charge (see Extras). The hot tub does not use chemicals so you might need to change the water during your stay - this is done with a simple tap system. Outside Curlews Halt and Snipes Rest there are quirky outdoor baths with a direct water supply from the barns.
Kitchen/Utility: The fully-equipped main kitchen has 4 electric ovens, a microwave, large induction plate, 2 dishwashers, and a large fridge. There is also a small utility area with a washing machine, additional fridge/freezer, iron, ironing board and clothes airer. There is also a washing line outside.
Music: No speakers provided. Note that, as per our Terms and Conditions, no additional amplification equipment can be brought to the property.
Parking: Off road parking for several vehicles.
Rooms:
Bean Goose Barn has 4 bedrooms (2 on the ground floor, 2 upstairs), shower room, bathroom, open-plan living room on the first floor, refreshment area and air hockey on the ground floor.
Curlews Halt and Snipes Rest both have 2 bedrooms and a shower room on the ground floor and an open plan living room/kitchen upstairs.
Room Configurations: Except for Bedroom 8 at Bean Goose Barn, which has a king size bed, all beds at Whimbrels Barton are zip and link so can be arranged as super kings or twins.
Stairgates: There are stairgates fixed at the top of the stairs in both Curlews Halt and Snipes Rest. No stairgates are available for Bean Goose Barn.
TVs: Smart TVs with Freeview, Netflix and Amazon (own passwords required) in the living room areas of each barn.
Wifi: Broadband - rural.
Wood-burner: There are wood-burning stoves in the living room of each barn. These are for use from the end of October to Easter. Initial supply of kindling and logs supplied, with more available to purchase from the owners.
Please note that the following applies as per our Terms & Conditions and House Rules: No noise after 11pm (consideration for neighbouring properties) - no smoking or vaping – no candles, open flames, disposable barbecues, fireworks, lanterns or drones – personal electrical items must not be left charging unattended nor devices left plugged in whilst away from the property - appliances such as washing machines and cooking equipment should not be left running whilst away from the property – electrical items must only be used according to manufacturer’s instructions – personal extension leads and adapter blocks should not be used.
