The House

In you go, through the gate in the garden wall, along the path and into a whopper of a living/entertaining space - 15m long, all open plan, packing a might punch with the wow factor.  There’s an entire glass wall with doors onto the garden, to one end a snug area with a TV, in the middle a long dining table, and to the other end, a heritage red kitchen with all you need to create a mammoth feast for your group. Perch at the island so whoever's doing the slicing and dicing won't be left out of the action.

Wander through to the games room, with a pool table, table football, table tennis and air hockey - and a whole wall of TVs for a totally immersive experience. And look how the centuries old features have been retained; thick stone walls and soaring roof trusses pull together with the colourful modern interiors to give an eclectic and stylish twist.

Off one end of the living space there's a utility room and Bedrooms 1 and 2; Bedrooms 3 and 4 are to either side of the games room, and Bedrooms 5 and 6 are the other end of the living space. All have ensuite shower rooms and zip and link beds (super king or twin), Bedrooms 1-4 have room for an extra guest bed (extra charge – see Extras).

Outside there’s an all-season lawn and an awesome mirror effect pool, heated for use year round. On the wall at the end there’s a whopping 80" screen for cinema beneath the stars.

Steps lead to the rooftop terrace above the living space (children and dogs must be supervised); a glass fronted balcony gives uninterrupted views of the fields and the glorious sunsets.

Local Area

You don’t need to go far from Tickety-Boo for a good day out; pootle down the road to Longleat to see the animals on the drive through safari, take a look around the mansion house and have a barrel of fun in The Square with all its attractions.

Go to Bath to see the sights – the Roman Baths, the beautiful Abbey, the Royal Crescent and Pulteney Bridge with its little shops. Browse the shops, watch some street theatre, go get a bun from Sally Lunn’s.

Like quirky? Go to Frome where there’s plenty of vintage, and the regular Frome Independent market with stalls, live entertainment and street food. Bradford-On-Avon is good too, like a scaled down version of Bath - stroll along the banks of the Kennet & Avon canal, hire kayaks or ride the trip boat.

History your thing? Venture over to Stonehenge or Avebury stone circles. Walk the hallowed cloisters at Lacock Abbey, stroll around the lakes and follies at Stourhead, discover the gruesome past of Farleigh Hungerford Castle.

If the great outdoors is calling puff your way to the top of Cley Hill and love the views; stroll through Black Dog Woods, carpeted with bluebells in late spring, make like soldiers on the Iron Age fort at Bratton Camp.

Round off your day with a movie beneath the stars back at Zippity before you turn in for the night. Such bliss. Your big happy is waiting.
